How does TutorKart verify trainers?

Every trainer, whether a consultant, educator, or industry leader, undergoes a thorough admin review process. We verify their qualifications, check credentials, and review their profile before granting approval. Only approved trainers appear in search results.

What are the registration fees?

Both trainees and trainers pay a one-time registration fee of just ₹2 to join the platform. There are no monthly subscriptions and no mandatory platform fees for classes. You register once and that's it. Any contribution to TutorKart is completely optional.

How do OTP-verified sessions work?

When a booking is confirmed, both the trainee and trainer receive a unique start OTP and end OTP. The trainee enters the start OTP to begin the session, and the trainer enters the end OTP to complete it. This two-step verification ensures authentic attendance tracking for both parties.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation rules depend on who cancels and how far in advance. Payment gateway charges (kept by Razorpay, our payment partner) are never refundable, so they are handled as below.

• Trainee cancels 48 hours or more before the session: the trainee receives a full refund, minus the payment gateway charges.
• Trainee cancels between 24 and 48 hours before the session: the trainee receives a 50% refund of the total amount paid, and the trainer receives 50% of their session fee. The payment gateway charges are split equally between the trainee and the trainer.
• Trainee cancels within 24 hours: no refund is issued to the trainee, and the trainer receives their full session fee.
• Trainer cancels 24 hours or more before the session: the trainee receives a full refund. The trainer covers the payment gateway charges, which are deducted from their future payouts.
• Trainer cancels within 24 hours: the trainee receives a full refund, and a fixed late-cancellation penalty is deducted from the trainer's future payouts.
• No-shows: if a session is not started within 4 hours of the scheduled time, the booking is automatically closed, marked as a No Show, and logged as a dispute for admin review. The admin assesses the situation and issues any applicable refunds or payouts.

Can trainers set their own rates?

Yes. Trainers set their own hourly rates when creating their profile and can update them at any time from their dashboard. Trainees see the exact rate before booking. What the trainer sets is what the trainee pays, with no mandatory platform fees for classes added on top. Trainees may choose to add an optional contribution to TutorKart at checkout.

How do trainers receive their earnings?

When a session ends successfully, a payout is generated automatically for admin review. Once approved, a payout link is sent to the trainer to withdraw their earnings. There are no mandatory platform fees for classes, so trainers keep 100% of their session earnings. Trainers may choose to make an optional contribution to TutorKart when closing a class.

Is TutorKart GST compliant?

Yes. TutorKart is fully compliant with Indian GST regulations. GST is applied where applicable, and all invoices are GST-compliant.
